NO. 1 SOCCER CAMPS, NAT'L GOALKEEPER DIRECTOR

Michael Morris enters his eighth season with Sounders FC, having been with the organization since the team was formed in 2009. Morris started in the summer camp program as a local camp site director. In 2010, Morris moved into a full-time role with the club, helping manage the system until 2012, when operations of the camp Morris took charge of the entire youth programs system. The program has expanded under his leadership and now offers a wide variety of camp experiences for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels, as well as camp experiences for adults.

 

Morris was born and raised in Washington State, and played local club soccer during his early years. He played collegiate soccer at Seattle Pacific University and earned a BA in business administration. Following his college soccer career, Morris played with the USL-1 Sounders for two seasons and was a member of their summer camp coaching system, which helped pave the way for the camp program that exists today.

 

He is a member of the Sounders FC Academy coaching staff and also serves as a scout. Morris also serves as a head coach in the Washington Elite Player Development Program. Morris has over 15 years of coaching experience and possess a variety of coaching licenses.
